Microsoft Drops List of 40 Jobs AI is Coming For đź‘€

August 21, 2025  /  Corderius Climpson

Microsoft just put out a list of 40 jobs most at risk of being taken over by AI, and let me tell you—it’s looking wild.

We’re talking about roles that have been around forever: DJs, reporters, journalists, editors, web developers, telemarketers, telephone operators, account clerks, and more. Basically, some of the jobs people never thought would be touched by AI are now sitting in the danger zone.

The report breaks it down with metrics like “coverage, completion, scope, and employment,” showing exactly where AI has the highest chance of sliding in and replacing human work. And some of these numbers are crazy—interpreters, translators, and customer service reps are way up at the top, with millions of jobs tied to them.

Looking deeper into the list, you see creative jobs like writers, announcers, and DJs right alongside technical gigs like CNC programmers and mathematicians. That’s not just entry-level stuff, that’s across industries—art, science, education, finance, and tech.

The bottom line? AI isn’t just creeping in anymore—it’s straight up walking through the front door. Whether you’re rocking the mic, pushing code, or crunching numbers, you’ve got to start thinking about how to adapt, evolve, and make yourself irreplaceable.

One thing’s for sure: the future of work is here, and we’re all standing in the middle of it.
